Janine Matho: for women, career drop off happens right away, in the first 2 - 3 years of work

McKinsey's Women in the Workforce 2022 report confirms that the "broken rung" of the career ladder for women remains at the first step up to manager.  For every 100 men promoted to their first manager role, only 87 women are promoted, and only 82 women of colour are promoted.
